I am an avid DIYer and enjoy furniture making at an amateur level. At least one item from this kit get used on every project I do.Drill-Driver-Hammer Drill:The best and most versatile tool in the kit. I have used every feature this drill has and it has worked perfectly. The driver clutch settings are vast, allowing for fine adjustment to ensure that you don't over drive screws in delicate materials. In drill mode little stops this drill, especially as their are three gears to ensure the correct torque level. The only time I have stopped this drill is when trying to mix drywall compound, but I feel that is way outside the purpose of this tool. I have only used hammer mode once or twice when drilling into concrete. All I can say is it worked.Reciprocating Saw:The quick release makes changing blades fast and easy. With several batteries on hand this tool works all day long. This tool has taken a lot of abuse at my hands and the hands of my friends and it has never complained.Flash Light:You will either love or hate this tool. My only complaint about it is that I would like a high output LED option as the incandescent bulbs have a very yellow light. I like the flexible neck that allows me to brace the light to keep it from falling. Note the head and base are very heavy so it will take some fidgeting to get it to stay where you want it. I do not mind.Circular Saw:This is the least used tool in the kit for me. I have two other very capable saws. However, when you need a cordless circular saw nothing else will substitute. This saw cuts well enough for construction work and if handled with care can produce a cut that requires only normal rework for finish carpentry or furniture making. You will note that the new 18v lithium ion kits no longer include this tool as the 36v li-ion circular saw is an awesome beast that makes other cordless saws, and some corded saws, look weak by comparison.Conclusion:This set was/is well worth the money. However I would recomend looking into the new DEWALT DCK475L Heavy-Duty 18-Volt 4-Tool Cordless Combo Kit with NANO Technology lithium-ion set if you are buying your first set or adding to a few DeWalt 18v tools. I will slowly be migrating my batteries to the DEWALT DC9180C Heavy-Duty 18 Volt Battery Pack/Charger as my Ni-Cads die.See all 2 customer reviews...
